Department of Accident & Emergency

The Accident & Emergency department assesses and treats people with serious injuries and those in need of emergency treatment. It's open 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.

The accident and emergency department provides emergency medical services to patients who may suffer from cardiac arrests, trauma, mental illness, asthma and heart attacks. During road accidents or fall, the victim may experience trauma due to multiple injuries in different organs. It is necessary for trained professionals to handle this with care.

Emergency services provided in the accident and emergency department to road accident and other accident victims may vary from simple x-rays and setting of broken bones, to activating a full-fledged trauma care team to take over management of the patient care.
